A note from company founder, Steven Kiss.
Kiss Industrial and Scientific was founded in 1988 trading under the name of Sietronics Services Pty Limited. At this time KI&S shared premises with Sietronics, an instrument sales company and this relationship continued until 2001. Canberra, Australia was chosen as the location for our head office due to the large amount of activity in the federally funded University and Research organizations at the time.
When KI&S was established in 1988 growing a business that integrated both the Australian and Asian markets was a feasible option. From the beginning KI&S was building relationships and a growing client base throughout South East Asia and eventually in 2004 the decision was made to establish the Kiss Industrial and Scientific Asia Technical Center and Office in Saraburi, Thailand, the heart of the Thai cement industry and base of many KI&S Thai customers. In 2005 the KI&S business in Australia was divested and together with my wife we relocated to Saraburi to begin a new chapter in our lives and focus our business entirely on serving the many and varied needs of customers in SEA. Until 2003 our customers in SEA were predominantly supported by engineers based in Australia but with the establishment of the Saraburi Technical Center the process of building a strong team of engineers strategically located throughout SEA became a priority and today we are blessed to boast a technical team that combined offers over 150 years experience in servicing laboratory and in-process instrumentation for industries such as cement, metals, petrochemical, chemical, mining and glass to name a few.
Over the years KI&S has gained an enviable reputation as a professional and reliable high quality service provider with many major companies throughout SEA and this reputation resulted in our referral to other world leading equipment suppliers such as Thermo Fisher Scientific, FLSmidth Automation, SICK Maihak and In-Process Instruments all of whom we are pleased to be partners with today.
For the majority of our customers the equipment we service and maintain is critical to their production process control and final product quality, any downtime or poor performance can result in lost productivity and lost revenue, subsequently our mission is clear, "Assist customers to maintain optimum equipment performance and minimize downtime" and this we aim to achieve via planned preventative maintenance, strategic spare parts management and appropriate equipment replacement all in the most cost effective manner.
We thank our customers and partners for their continued support and look forward to serving existing and new customers for many years to come.
